Tom is restoring a very interesting 3.0CSL Alpina from bare shell and detail photographs will be available soon.

To demonstrate the work required to establish the correct restoration of original parts the following pictures show

one of the many jigs made to remake various components.

In this case the jig pictured was made simply to fabricate the towing hooks attached to the front cross member.

Note the painted tow hook in the pictures.

This is an original component no longer available from BMW and was used to reverse engineer the part
so that the re-manufactured items are an exact image of the original component.

The rod is locally flame heated to facilitate each bend.
