So we decided to have a look at the intake rams, the throttle bodies themselves, and the air collector box.

Certainly no problem with the air collector, A hp pick up on the flow bench was measured when the throttle body castings were opened up, so naturally all of the throttle bodies were done.

Many times when you do your own projects the focus changes and  you can often loose sight of what you set out to achieve. My goal is not to produce a race car but a strong performing street car and hence further gains in changing throttle butterfly size and or making new throttle bodies was forgotten and the task at hand was completed. The camshafts were reconditioned to the factory specification as per the project focus.

* To me and the team at Autologic, a proper job of the external components needed to be carried out also. This meant that the Upper cam bucket holder, Sump, front timing covers, the rear cam bucket holder cover, and the front circular plate for the front of the head, all needed to be wet bead blasted. The Cylinder head was done in the reconditioning process. They all look fantastic now, They look Brand new in fact. The throttle bodies are going to be next!

* I decided to take the time to 2 pak paint the block, After the tape up of the block I  prepared it for paint, several coats were applied to it. The end result is a good looking block and I cant wait to match the bead blasted components to it.

* The Cam cover and the Air collector are painted black and are in need of attention. I was going to powder coat them but we recently had a car in which had similar items. They are painted from factory it seems, that will be the best way to go. I have to clean these two components up first, they are very dirty from years of neglect it would seem.

The front brakes have been upgraded to larger  than M5
specifications including  302mm x 28mm gas slotted brake
discs and larger callipers.

In addition a set of 16" Alpina wheel rims have been now added
